
The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon will launch for Switch 2 alongside its previously announced PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG) versions in January 2026, publisher NIS America announced. This is a delay from its previously planned fall 2025 release window.
“I’m excited to announce that the latest entry in Nihon Falcom‘s Trails series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon, will also be released on Nintendo Switch 2,” says Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo in a press release. “With the power of the Nintendo Switch 2, we expect players to have an even more enjoyable experience. In fact, this will mark the debut of the Trails series on the Nintendo Switch 2, and I personally have high expectations for it. Please continue to look forward to the release!”
Pre-orders for the Switch 2 version of the NIS America Online Store limited edition are now available for $109.99. It will ship on a game-key card. Pre-orders for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions are also available for $99.99.
